Two weeks to remember – Take me to Australia 2022

In 2022 we sent another winner of our 'Take me to Australia' promotion Down Under. We caught up with Fiona Campbell to hear all about her two-week trip, her favourite experiences, and encouragement for our next lucky winner.

After a two-year hiatus, we've relaunched our highly anticipated annual Take me to Australia competition. Since 2017, InfoTrack has sent one lucky winner and their chosen companion to the land down under to explore everything.

We sat down with our most recent prize winner, Fiona Campbell of Thackray Williams LLP, to hear how she came to win this experience of a lifetime jam-packed with activities ranging from touring the Daintree Rainforest to snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. She recounts the amazing trip, which “exceeded [her] expectations”.

On first hearing the news that she had won the competition, Fiona recalls, “It was just a shock, really, winning something so big.”

Fiona works in the leasehold enfranchisement department at Thackray Williams LLP and spends a lot of time using InfoTrack to submit applications to HM Land Registry. As someone who enjoys travelling and does it often, winning was totally unexpected and left her full of excitement. "You don't expect to win a holiday, especially one to Australia," She recalls excitedly.

Fiona and her partner spent two weeks exploring some of Australia's most beautiful destinations: Sydney, Port Douglas, and Hamilton Island. Recalling her adventures, she says there was a real standout and one of her favourite activities - snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. “[It] was a massive highlight, snorkelling. Getting to see all these lovely fish and a few different flora and fauna.”

Yet still, exploring the breathtaking wonders of the Great Barrier Reef can be done without diving expertise. She advises, “My partner is not a very strong swimmer, and he still managed to go out. The tour guides were just so helpful.” With the expert's help, they were both able to experience, first-hand, Australia’s spectacular marine life.

Alternatively, our next lucky prize winner could spend their trip walking around Sydney's historical heritage buildings and trying a pie from Harry's Pie Kiosk like Fiona and her partner. A trip truly catered to whatever your interests are.

Looking out of the plane on internal flights between each destination, she recalls feeling struck by how immense Australia is. "Every location brings its own assortment of amazing flowers and unique wildlife; tree frogs, crocodiles, and stuff I've never seen before," Fiona fondly shares.

“It's just an overall amazing experience that I would normally never have had the opportunity to enjoy,” she continues.
