Nuno studied Law at the University of Westminster graduating with first class honours and attaining several certificates of excellence in his time there. He also worked in Security while studying, before taking an internship with a law firm. In May ‘21 he joined InfoTrack’s eCOS support team that specialises in assisting law firms with the ‘digital onboarding’ of their clients. This includes data gathering, biometric ID checks, AML searches, and Source of Funds information.
Looking back Nuno says: “I wasn’t sure that becoming a solicitor was the right path for me, so I was always open-minded about different paths in my career. I was interested in legal technology and I wanted was to explore new ways of using my law degree”. After just 6 months Nuno was promoted to Team Leader as he continued to provide first class customer assistance while also supporting and helping his colleagues.
In May ’22 he was promoted again making the move into the Product team as a Quality Analyst, which he describes as his best moment at InfoTrack so far: “I was happy to have been given the opportunity to work closely with the development team and help improve the eCOS product, as that became my main interest during my time in Support. Being given such responsibility made me feel like the company really trusts me”.
When asked what he likes most about working for InfoTrack Nuno says: “The main thing is the people that I work with. Both during my time in Support and now with the Quality Team, I always felt comfortable with everyone. Working with highly motivated and supportive people helps me stay focused and inspires me to do my best to meet their expectations as well. I feel like there is a good balance between the serious tech talk and the more friendly, personal conversations that helps with boosting the team's morale”.
Nuno is also a professional gamer, competing internationally in Tekken 7 tournaments, and even has a few wins to his name. Truly a digital blackbelt.
